First things first..A couple of issues back we reported that Jay-Z was gonna be sued by the Washington DC Go Go group Rare Essence for copy right infringement. Jay-Z apparently used some rifts from their classic jam song Overnight Scenario' for his current single 'Do It Again [Put Your Hands Up]'. The group sent out a notice which you can see on their website http://www.rareesscence.com stating that the lawsuit was a false rumor and their attorneys are drafting up an official statement. We'll keep you posted as this story unfolds.. At least Jay-Z has on less problem to worry about.

Speaking of Jay-Z there are stories circulating that stabbing victim Lance 'Un' Rivera was trying to cut a deal in which he would drop charges in exchange for a generous amount of money and a production deal. Looks like Jigga will be seeing Lance in court on January 31st cause he ain't cutting no deal..

Also the other thing I want to correct is I misidentified the author of the book 'Spook Who Sat By The Door'. The name of the author was Samuel Greenlee. The original score was by Herbie Hancock. The movie got pulled from theaters real quick because it advocated urban guerilla warfare against the US government.
